Ringwood Chamber Skittle to Success

Ringwood Chamber's final Social Networking event of the year left attendees bowled over with the night's activities. The last Wednesday of November saw the Ringwood Chamber Social Networking Christmas Party and Skittles Evening take place at The Royal Oak in North Gorley. The new venue for the evening took in a skittles tournament among those invited. Members and guests were placed in mixed teams to encourage conversation and camaraderie in the face of the opposition.

With the usual confusion about the rules on playing, the tournament got off to a bowling start with the first round. Each team member was allowed two balls and after the second round the hot Christmas themed buffet was served. The food was delightful and a real credit to The Royal Oak with several members seen going over to help themselves to a second serving. After the meal Barbara Woodifield, the Chamber President and proprietor of Let's Accommodate said a few words about the Chamber's achievements over the last year and a special thank you was given to Leigh Neville for all her hard work in organising the evening.

After the break the final rounds took place and a tie was reached for first place between Team 4 (Terry & Sue Patterson of Publishing Solutions and Pete & Sue West of Roundabout Magazines) and Team 5 (Nikki Howard & Jac Cantefriel of Maison and John Sandford-Hart & Paul Blackmore of Sandford Signage) who both reached 77 for their final score. The play off for first place saw Team 5 achieve the top prize of a bottle of wine.

At the close of the evening everyone was agreed that the event had certainly been a lot of fun and very successful, and all looked forward to the new year and the Chamber's networking events in the future.
